Dorian DeHaan is a New York State Certified Interior
Designer with 28 years of hands-on interior design
experience. Her design firm, DEZIGN CONCEPTS,
originated in 1986, encompasses all realms of
residential and commercial interior design.
Dorian is a graduate of the prestigious Pratt
Institute in Brooklyn, New York and holds
professional degrees in both architecture and
interior design. She has studied architecture and
design extensively throughout Italy and has also
filmed as a feature designer on Home and Garden
Television (HGTV). In addition, she has been a
guest judge at the New York International Gift Fair
Dorian is currently Chairwoman of the
Board for Interior Design within the New York State
Department of Education, Office of Professions. She is an active member of the American Society of
Interior Designers (ASID), the American Institute of
Architects (AIA), the National Kitchen
and Bath Association (NKBA), Interior Designers for
Licensing in New York (IDLNY), the National Council
for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), and the
National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Dorian has recently founded a
new organization called
Artisan Discovery Foundation. It is a
charitable organization meant to identify indigenous
artisans from impoverished and rural communities in
the U.S. and abroad. She will be working with
artisans around the globe to help them design and
develop custom crafted products for the home, such
as furniture and accessories.
Dorian appeared in the
December 2012 New American Luxury magazine on how
she is incorporating third-world aid into her
